The F0452B is an integrated dual-path RF front-end consisting of an RF switch and two gain stages with 6dB gain control used in the analog front-end receiver of an Active Antenna System (AAS). The F0452B supports frequencies from 2300MHz to 2700MHz. The F0452B provides 34dB gain with +23dBm OIP3, +15dBm output P1dB, and 1.5dB noise figure at 2600MHz. Gain is reduced 6dB in a single step with a maximum settling time of 31ns. The device uses a single 3.3V supply and 130mA of IDD. The F0452B is offered in a 5 × 5 × 0.8 mm, 32-LGA package with 50Ω input and output amplifier impedances for ease of integration into the signal path.

Dual Matched Broadband RF DVGA - 0.6GHz to 2.7GHz The F0443 is a highly integrated 0.6GHz to 2.7GHz dual channel RF digital variable gain amplifier designed for use in diversity/MIMO receivers. The F0443 provides two independent receiver paths each with 29.5dB typical maximum gain and 3.2dB NF at 2.5GHz. For each path, gain control is split into four separate digital step attenuators: DSA0 provides 6dB of attenuation in a single step using SPI/I3C control. Its counterpart, DSA1, also provides 6dB of attenuation in a single step but it is programmed instead using an external direct control pin. DSA2 yields 29dB of SPI/I3C-controlled attenuation in 1dB steps, while its counterpart, DSA3, includes 18dB attenuation in 6dB steps programmed via two external control pins. The device offers +39dBm nominal output IP3 at 2.5GHz using 372mA total ICC for two active paths with a +5V supply voltage. The Renesas F1240 IF VGA featuring FlatNoise™ technology improves system SNR, especially at lower gain settings. By keeping both IP3O & NF flat while gain is backed off, the system SNR is improved significantly under high level interferer conditions, especially when considering alias noise in an IF sampling receiver. The fast-settling, parallel mode gain step of 0.50 dB coupled with the excellent differential non-linearity allow for SNR to be maximized further by targeting the minimum necessary gain in small, accurate increments.
